here is ur answer dear frnd

let width = x cm

so length = x - 13 cm

According to question ,

Area = length × breadth

114 = x( x-13)

114= x^2 - 13 x

x^2 -13x - 114 =0

x^2 -19x + 6x -114 =0

x(x-19) + 6(x- 19)= 0

(x-19)(x+6)= 0

take x - 19 = 0

so x = 19

take x+6 = 0

that gives x= -6 ( not possible)

so width = 19 cm

and length = 19- 13 = 6 cm

Answer:

w = 19

L = 6

Explanation:

L = w - 13

a = lw

114 = w(w - 13)

114 = w² - 13w

w² - 13w - 114

(w - 9) (w + 6)

w ≠ -6 (a length cannot be negative)

w = 19

L = 19 - 13

L = 6
