Answer: She used 3/8 lb of flour to make the bownies.

Explanation:

Hi, to answer this question we have to write equations with the information given:

  • She used 1/2 lb of flour to make bread

Bread = 1/2

  • She used 1/8 lb less flour to make bread than to make cookies.

Bread = cookies -1/8

Since bread= 1/2

(1/2) = cookies -1/8

1/2 + 1/8 = cookies

Cookies = 1/2+ 1/8 = 4/8+1/8=5/8

  • She used 1/4 lb more to make cookies than to make brownies.

Cookies = brownies + 1/4

Since cookies=5/8

5/8 = brownies + 1/4

5/8 -1/4 = brownies

Brownies = 5/8-1/4 = 5/8 - 2/8 = 3/8

She used 3/8 lb of flour to make the brownies.
