2(4 - d)= 3(2+d) How can you Find d?

2*4=8
2*d=2d
3*2=6
3*d=3d
Then collect like terms
8-2d=6+3d
2+5d

Distribute.

2(4-d)= 3(2+d)
8-2d= 6+3d

Add 2d to both sides.

8= 6+5d

Subtract 6 from both sides

2= 5d

Divide

d=2/5

You could also subtract 3d and add 8 Instead after distributing.
