Amy is a software saleswoman. Her base salary is $1900 , and she makes an additional $120 for every copy of Math is Fun she sells. Let P represent her total pay (in dollars), and let N represent the number of copies of Math is Fun she sells. Write an equation relating P to N . Then use this equation to find her total pay if she sells 28 copies of Math is Fun.

Explanation:

N(120) will represent copies of books sold

P is for her paycheck (money from the books sold and her salary)!

SO:

equation - 1900 + N(120) = P

If we put 28 into N...

1900 + 28 (120) = P

1900 + 3360 = $5260
