Given :

Find all other zeros of P(x) = x + 2x² - 16, given that -2 + 2i is a zero.

To Find :

The other zero.

Solution :

We know, complex solutions only comes in pair, means if one solution of a quadratic equation is complex then other is also complex.

Also, both the roots are conjugate of each other.

( Conjugate of (a + ib) is (a - ib) )

So, conjugate of (-2 + 2i) is (-2 - 2i).

Therefore, other zero of the given equation P(x) = x + 2x² - 16 is ( -2 - 2i ).
