5. Dan is making the perfect shade of purple paint for his Nana. The perfect shade of purple mixes red and blue paint at a

ratio of 4 to 5. Accidently Dan mixed five cups of red and four cups of blue, using up all his red paint. How much blue must
he add to fix his mistake?

red : blue = 4 : 5 = 1.25 x 4 : 1.25 x 5 = 5 : 6.25
Dan already added 4 cups of blue so he needs to add another 2.25 cups to get the perfect purple
