if what youre saying is m(x) = -4 like x = -4 then do this

plug in -4 for x and solve

= 2(-4) - 10

= -8 - 10

= -18

or are you saying like the whole equation is equal to -4 and we need to solve for x do this

plug in -4 for 'y'

-4 = 2x - 10

then solve for x

6 = 2x

3 = x
