m = slope

(x1, y1) = coordinates of first point in the line

(x2, y2) = coordinates of second point in the line

So your rise is...

2 - (-7)

and you run is...

18 -18

Rise = 9

Run = 0

Now, do you see the issue...

You can not have a number over 0 (* a great way to remember is N/0 spells no: "N" being number and "0" being zero)

The slope or the equation 9 / 0 (9 divided by 0 or 9 over 0) is ERROR in the calculator which means the slope of these points are undefined

The line is vertical when this happens

*Side Note: if you were to have 0 as you rise and 9 as your run, 0/9 is ok because that means you have a zero slope meaning that you have a horizontal line

0 divide by 9 is zero
