Answer:

1)10.57

2)5.91

Explanation:

1)According to Pythagoras theorem

c=√a²+b²

=√5.2²+9.2²

=√27.04+84.64

=√111.68

=10.57

2) according to Pythagoras theorem

c²=a²+b²

6.5²=2.7²+b²

b²=6.5²-2.7²

b=√6.5²-2.7²

=√42.25-7.29

=√34.96

=5.91

1st Triangle

Answer: 10.57

Steps:

Use the Pythagorean theorem:
a^2 + b^2 = c^2

5.2^2 + 9.2^2 =c^2

27.04 + 84.64 =c^2

111.68=c^2

c=10.57

2nd Triangle

Answer: 5.91

Steps:

Use Pythagorean theorem

2.7^2 + b^2 = 6.5^2

7.29 + b^2 = 42.25

b^2 = 34.96

b = 5.91
