Explanation:

When 3 positive numbers are multiplied together, the product will be positive. In fact, when any number of positive numbers are multiplied together, the product will always be positive.

Examples: 5*7*14=490

1*2*3*4*5*6*7=5040

When 3 negative numbers are multiplied together, the product will be negative. Two negatives make a positive and a negative and a positive will make a negative. Because the product of the first two numbers will be positive, the final product will be negative.

Examples:

(-9)(-2)(-5)

Two negatives make a positive

= 18(-5)

A negative and a positive make a negative

= -90
