Explain why it makes sense to use the word translation to describe protein synthesis and why it would not make sense to use the word translation to describe mRNA synthesis?

Answer:

The application of the word translation makes sense at the time of describing the synthesis of protein as the language of nucleic acids is transformed into the language of polypeptides by the phenomenon of translation. On the other hand, it will not be suitable to describe the synthesis of mRNA using the word translation as the nature of the biomolecule stays similar because both the DNA and the product of DNA, that is, mRNA are nucleic acids.
