Answer:

\displaystyle{x=e^5-6}

Explanation:

Given the equation:

\displaystyle{2\ln (x+6)=10}

Divide both sides by 2:

\displaystyle{\ln (x+6)=5}

Convert to exponential form using the property of:

\displaystyle{\ln M = N \to e^N = M}

Henceforth, we will have
\displaystyle{e^5=x+6} then subtract both sides by 6:

\displaystyle{x=e^5-6}

Corrected question :

  • Solve for x.
  • 2 ( x + 6 ) = 10

Solution :-

>> 2 ( x + 6 ) = 10

Multiplying 2 into (x + 6),

>> 2 × (x + 6) = 10

>> 2x + 12 = 10

Transposing 12 to R.H.S. (Remember that sign would be changed to negative),

>> 2x = 10 - 12

>> 2x = -2

Dividing them,

>> x = -2 / 2

>> x = -1
