Answer:

Explanation:

a.

Base=2+5=7

height=4+2=6

area=7×6=42 sq. units

eq. of base is y=-2

eq. of upper side is y=4

slope of left side is

y-(-2)=(0-(-2))/(-3-(-2))(x-(-2))

y+2=2/(-1) (x+2)

y+2=-2(x+2)

y+2=-2x-4

y=-2x-6

any line parallel to it is

y=-2x+a

(4,0) lies on it.

0=-2×4+a

a=8

eq. of right hand side is

y=-2x+8

b.

base=-3-(-7)=4

height=5-(-2)=7

area=4×7=28 sq. units.

eq. of base is

y=-2

eq. of upper side is

y=5

eq. of left side is

y-y1=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)(x-x1)\\y-(-2)=\frac {5-(-2)}{0-(-7)}(x-(-7)}\\y+2=1(x+7)\\y=x+7-2\\y=x+5\\any~line~parallel~to~above~line~is \\y=x+k\\point~(0,1) ~lies~on~it.\\so~1=0+k\\k=1\\eq. of ~lie~on~the~right~side~is\\y=x+1

Answer:

I might be able to answer this if I could see the numbers for both the parallelograms. I can see it but some of the numbers are cut off.

Explanation:

Thank you.
