Explanation:

A line can be written in the form y = mx + b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept.

Since the slope is given as 4, the equation will be y = 4x + b

Plugging in the point (2,1) to the equation we get 1 = 4(2) + b or 1 = b + 8

Solving for b gives b = -7 so the equation will be y = 4x - 7
