Answer:

-53/12 or 4 5/12 either works

Explanation:

Let's turn the mixed fractions into improper fractions.

-7 2/3 = -23/3

-5 1/2 = -11/2

8 3/4 = 35/4

Now we need to find Least Common Denominator.

12 is the LCD because

3*4 = 12 is for -23/3

2*6 = 12 is for -11/2

4*3 = 12 is for 35/4

Now you will multiply the improper fractions by the 2nd number.

-(23)/(3)*((4)/(4)) = -(92)/(12) \\\\-(11)/(2)*((6)/(6)) = -(66)/(12) \\\\(35)/(4)*((3)/(3)) = (105)/(12)

Now that they have the same denominators just put the numerators in the equation.

-92 + -66 + 105 = -53

-53/12 or -4 5/12

Hope this helps ya!
