Purple and Black movie club charges $14.99 per Blu-ray. They charge the same delivery fee no matter how many Blu-rays are purchased. An order for 10 Blu-rays costs $159.89. Write an equation in point-slope form that gives the total cost, C, for n Blu-rays ordered.

Answer:

C = 14.99n + 9.99

Explanation:

From the information given in the question, we already have the slope which is 14.99.

To find the y-intercept (which in this case represents the same delivery fee no matter how many Blu-rays are purchased) we can use the order for 10 Blu-rays.

Multiply 14.99 by 10 to get the cost of all the DVDs.

(14.99)(10) = 149.90

To find the value of the delivery fee we can minus 149.90 from 159.89:

159.89 - 149.90 = 9.99

The cost of delivery is $9.99

Therefore, we can write the final equation like this:

C = 14.99n + 9.99

I hope this helps!!
