Clarisse never goes to school because “they won’t miss me” and “they think I am antisocial.” What does antisocial mean to this society? Normally antisocial means not being able to socialize with people.

antisocial does mean that the person who is antisocial is not able to socialize with others. However, most of the time antisocial means not sociable or not wanting the company of others. Antisocial-ness is often a choice people would choose. If you are shy or lonely, you would most likely be antisocial. If you are outgoing and bright, you are most likely very sociable.
