At a store, toothbrushes cost x dollars and
bars of soap cost y dollars. One customer
bought 2 toothbrushes and 1 bar of soap
for $11. Another customer bought 6
toothbrushes and 5 bars of soap for $38.
Both amounts do not include tax. How
much does each toothbrush and each bar of
soap cost?
a) toothbrushes: $4.25 soap: $2.50
b) toothbrushes: $3.00 soap: $4.00
c) toothbrushes: $4.50 soap: $2.25

It’s A toothbrush;4.25
soap;2.50
since 4.25 times 2 is 8.50 then you add 8.50 plus 2.50 equals 11
then for the other customer you do 4.25 times 6 equal 25.5 and then do 2.50 times 5 equals 12.5 then you add 25.5 plus 12.5 equals 38
