the only quadrants in which sine is positive are quadrants I and II. the only quadrants in which the tangent is negative are quadrants II and IV. G has to be in either I or II, due to the sine restrictions, but it can also be in quadrants II or IV due to the tangent restrictions. It has to be true for both Sine and Tangent, so it can't be quadrants I or IV because both statements have to be true, which leaves us with Quadrant II
