Answer:

y=7

Explanation:

x = -1 x is one , replace x with negative one in the equation. using the order of operation PEMDAS.

Remember this -1³= -1×-1×-1=-1

-1²=-1×-1=1.

y =8x³+12x²-6x-3

y= 8(-1)³+12(-1)²-6(-1)-3

Exponents

y= 8(-1)+12(1)-6(-1)-3

Multiplication

y= -8+12+6-3

Addition

y= 10-3

Subtraction

y= 7

Therefore y= 7
